RE:       Weekly Update

On Sunday, October 5th, we will all join in praising and thanking God and one another for the magnificent additions to our already beautiful campus.  It will be a time for great rejoicing in the wonder of God’s love so alive in our midst.  What we see and experience each day is what it is because of the God-life in others.  So many parishioners have generously given so that God can come alive even more fully within them and also in many others.  Truly, how can anyone look around Queen of Peace and not see the face of God?

God and gratitude and praise come in so many forms and shapes and sizes.  They are manifested in the joy and spontaneity of the very young.  They are seen and heard in the ordinary lives of adults.  They come alive in the lived experiences and modeling of the wisdom people in our midst.  Everywhere we turn there are the subtle reminders of God ever present and ever ready to bless us anew.  How can we not have a song of gratitude and praise forever in our heart and on our lips?

Today, tomorrow, everyday let a perpetual “thank you” ring through your day.  Let’s all try to become aware of the blessings of our surroundings and in the people who walk with us through our day.  Let’s look beyond the ordinary, beyond the annoyances, beyond the humdrum, beyond the weeds growing among the plants.  Let’s look into the face of another and find the face of God.  Let’s express our deep gratitude to all who will listen.

Be with us on Sunday as we sing and shout and express our grateful thanks to our parishioners and our God!
