RE:       Weekly Update

Have you looked around our campus lately with the eyes of awe and gratitude?  Have you noticed the beauty of our surroundings?  Have you wondered at the structures?  The configurations?  The magnificent Mary courtyard?  The Church?  The pond?  The new buildings?  The flowers and trees?  Wherever you look, there are signs of God’s love magnified by the creativity and giftedness of people.  And when we place children and adults in the picture, we can not help but lift our eyes and hearts to the Creator of all – and give thanks!

However, how often it is that we, human beings as we are, can be immersed in God’s goodness but put our focus on some small thing we don’t like, wish we had or consider a huge need.  Sometimes in implementing our deep desire to further our relationship with God, we do the opposite.  Surely we cannot miss or misinterpret God’s love!  Surely it is not possible to be a part of this God-filled community located on a magnificent campus and misinterpret God’s love.  Yet, we fragile but fully human beings do just that.

How about this week we help one another to recognize who we are and how many ways God has blessed us?  How about we comment to one another about the beauty around us?  How about we take a good long look at the physical surroundings of Queen of Peace?  How about we say a prayer each day in gratitude for the many blessings which are ours?

Thank you, parents, for your support, your trust, and your prayers!  Thank you, parishioners and donors, who have shared your gift of gratitude with us.  Thank You, God, for this beautiful campus which bespeaks Your great love for each of us!
