About Queen of Peace Catholic Academy
Queen of Peace Catholic Academy is an educational community of Gainesville, Florida in which principal, teachers, staff, families, clergy, and parishioners work together to provide students with a spiritual, academic, psychological, and social foundation.
The Academy places focus on teaching and living the Gospel and the traditions of the Catholic Church. Equally, it gives emphasis to personal and communal spirituality, the fostering of strong community, and a commitment to those in need.

- Queen of Peace Catholic Academy will extend from Prekindergarten to Grade Eight in the 2007 - 2008 academic year.
- The Academy is an Elementary and Middle School of the Diocese of St. Augustine, and complies with all policies, directives, curricula of the Office of Educational Services.
- Teachers in Prekindergarten - Grade Two are certified with a concentration in Early Childhood; teachers of Grades Three, Four, and Five are certified with a concentration in Elementary Education. Teachers in Grade Six, Seven and Eight are certified with a concentration in Middle School.
- The Academy follows the calendar of the Diocese of St. Augustine.
- The Elementary school day begins at 8:00 AM and ends at 2:48 PM; the Middle school day begins at 8:00 AM and ends at 3:00 PM; Extended Day is available.
- Tuition for the 2008 - 2009 school year is $3750 per child (Catholic); $4850 for all others; fees are $550, $175 of which is due at the time of registration.

Morning Care (7:00 AM - 7:45 AM) - $1.00/morning/child
Fees are due on Monday of each week and are not pro-rated for holidays. No refunds or credits may be given for absences.
Late Pick-up - Beginning at 6:00 PM a late fee will be charged. The rate is $6.00/child for every 15 minutes late.
- There is a teacher and an assistant in each classroom.
- In addition to the academic subjects, Physical Education, Spanish, Chinese, , Media, Music and Art are provided; Grades Three - Eight have the opportunity to learn German.
- Parents are expected to provide stewardship hours during the course of the year.
